We already deal with the crazy useless ads (often overly NSFW) which is so disturbing since there’s children on the app. We’ve given you a decade of support and you guys are so money hungry!!!! I’ll be one of the ones deleting if you go through with this new update. I’ll change my review when you guys gain some sense.

Cash grab company still trying to cling to relevance by making everything pay to use. Not to mention the amount of predators and unregulated A.I present on this platform with no regard for child or user safety.

Change this Update

Snapchat has been a declining social media platform ever since 2021 because all of the pedophilic users and groomings that would happen on the app. And now they are getting rid of people’s memories from literally a decade ago. This is not okay how they are trying to earn money from the smallest things. I will just end up deleting my account since I will no longer have use for the app.

privacy violations on a basic human level. it will tell my friends i’m active or “typing” when i’m neither. the glitches on this app are insane and they have caused so many embarrassing experiences. at the age of nine i was being sexually harassed by old men on here and i didn’t even realize it. the app just got worse every year as they added more features but still refused to regulate the textbook bullying going on every day. i would see people post and send literal p*rn and it wouldn’t be moderated no matter how many reports i would send in. this app is so un-user friendly; you can’t even search through messages, among many other things, which every other popular messaging app allows. meanwhile you aren’t allowed to turn off my AI, which is ultimately why i deleted the app.

The new snapchat update is extremely greedy and nobody likes it. I’m probably going to delete this app once the update becomes finalized. Why would I pay for data? Snapchat is a million dollar company yet you guys are charging people just to keep their memory’s and I think that is a horrible marketing scheme, do better. And if you have Snapchat I would recommend deleting it because it’s practically worthless. The Snapchat team is so greedy and selfish and at this point I don’t wanna use Snapchat anymore, if ur reading this I would recommend you stay away from this god awful app. The ONLY thing this app is good for is taking photos, but since they are going to charge us for it, I think we should all boycott and delete Snapchat. 🤷‍♀️ there is also an insane amount of pedo’s on this app, keep ur kids safe and don’t let them download Snapchat. ✌🏻

Snapchat Memories

Look, I’ve had snapchat for years and so have countless of my family members but if the rumors are true and I’m going to have to start paying for MY snapchat memories which has been a free feature up until this new update drops, I will be deleting the app. in the most respectful way possible, I’m not paying for someone that I’ve had free for years. That being said, I’ve already had countless rough patches from this app including grown men trying to groom minors and people asking for child pornographic photos and nothing has ever been done to truly prevent these things and now you’re expecting everyone to pay for a free feature? I hope you know you’d be losing a lot of people on your app, so truly you guys might want to discuss this again because what is the point?

Horrible and Unsafe

i’ve had the app for years. thousands of memories. which have been nice when losing phone or being unable to recover any photos from past phones. it’s been free. now are saying that they will be deleting all memories and pictures above 5GB of storage unless you pay for more. ranging from $2-16$. many people only have snapchat for their memories. otherwise, nobody will be using this app due to it’s extremely unsafe platform full of predators due to the fact they don’t identify people before letting them make an account and before allowing them to communicate with minors. none of it is monitored.

Snapchat Subscription for Memories

Not sure if you’re aware but the entire point of your app is the memories. You say it’s expensive to store our data, then cut the funding for snapchat ai and reels. none of your users use them. literally the only reason your app has been used if for the memories. you already created a platform that exposed minors to online explicit activity that you never addressed, don’t dig your grave deeper.

Inappropriate Predatory Algorithms. Memory Deletion

Predatory algorithms which push inappropriate content along with propaganda. Reels are a cesspool of predators and overall disgusting provocative content. Memories to be deleted also led me to writing this review for an app I already had much disdain for. Its only use is for the old memories I have that i have not uploaded to my phones storage.

This app is an absolute cesspoool. Crazy amount of ads PUSHING pornography onto everyone and more almost relishing it for views. Wants to start charging for memories as a classic bait and switch. I can’t wait for the day this app dies as well as their entire business. You don’t deserve it.

milking us for money

this app has been trying to milk us for money for years but now taking away our memories unless we pay is unacceptable you can’t just take away our over 10 years old memories just because your pedo playground app is going broke we won’t stand for this 1 star fix it or this is the future of your reviews

Greedy, Money Hungry, and Lazy

So not only has this app been under high scrutiny for years now since pedophiles can make a ring from it because the pictures and chats are gone after 24 hours, but you have to also pay to keep photos? Not on my watch. What a lazy way to make money. Greedy and money hungry people are not going anywhere in life currently and you want to take advantage of people’s banks in this economy? memories are the ONLY reason it’s still on my phone.

let me be clear, i loved snapchat in its heyday, it was the main way i communicated with people. however, as ive aged its become more of a photo app/memory holder for me, i cherish the photos i have on this app dearly and after hearing the recent knees about the paid storage i am frankly disgusted. we live in an era where people are choosing between getting gas in their cars for work and getting groceries for the next two weeks and this multi mill dollar company has not only the nerve but the audacity to charge for the most frankly mundane features? i understand needing to make money but this is frankly biblical levels of greed. nobody asked for these “exclusive” features the comp continues to roll out and yet we, the consumer continue to be punished for it??? i will be moving everything in my memories to a secure FREE cloud drive if they follow through on this insanity because let’s be hon with ourselves, the only people still using this app to communicate are dřvğ d34lrs, p3d0s, and people who haven’t graduated yet
