Sooo I know Luni got rid of the gacha heat ads (18+ nasty stuff made using gacha) but now the ads are EVEN WORSE. There is ads for an app called webtoon, which I do not EVEN want to get into, also the gacha UwU club and Schmelly club, those are just nasty. between the ads and bots in your dms and for some reason tumblr only suggests young girls accounts to older men. it's gross. id see a selfie of myself reblogged on explicit accounts. only 30+ yr old men suggested and i'm constantly being harassed by them in my dms. i wish so badly that it was what it used to be. they took away group chats and now i only connect with 30+ yr old men.

This app was fun when you could find normal people to talk to, but unfortunately drags in too many predators. Not only that my account was banned for “using another person’s photos”. I gave them proof directly from my camera roll and my instagram account yet they do not properly respond to emails. You will get the same repose of “your post violated our rules. Please follow our guidelines next time”. So poorly handled. Wish there was a normal version of these apps where you could actually JUST chat like people.

Why is there no report button?

No way to keep people from messaging you unless you pay for premium, this means nasty and gross accounts with nude profile pictures are able to message me, and I can’t even report them or get any help at all. When I block the account, the accounts still shows up in my search bar as if this person was a contact of mine! Even when blocked! Simply because THEY messaged ME. Also, these people have very concerning stuff that they post (as stories). This app is honestly quite unsafe, which is sad because it is my main form of communication, but I think I’ll just delete it as I am quite literally forced to pay for premium or have R18 pages message me and have no way to block that or remove that after. Telegram should make it so that there’s a way to at least report accounts like this or make it harder for random scammers to be able to message you. Also, while searching for help I found stories of people who got offered CP and they had no way to report those accounts either. (except to the police).

When i first created this app it was at a sleepover. I’ll admit it was fun they have social groups, voice chat rooms, and like u can make friends with more than 100+ people. Slowly however this app became a dangerous place. People would lie about their ages saying they were teens (13-17) and would even send you explicit pictures. Not all the time but there were a few occasions were they did. It’s just the vibe is off and people even send in CP. how disgusting and illegal. I even had someone from Nigeria try to make me marry him like idk if this is a tinder app but it’s straight up inappropriate.

I have used this app for my kids travel sports and it has been fine. My teenage boy downloaded the app to use for his team communication. Under the more to explore chat rooms, he went on one for video games. There are adults in there sending pics and asking for pics. a few years ago this app basically changed my whole perspective of life as a child, since i got groomed on it by multiple different people at the age of 7. reports honestly did nothing unless it was by multiple people but by manipulation of those disgusting people the kids never knew anything wrong was happening (as i thought as well) and those people probably went to go groom more kids and manipulate and ruin the lives of more people. and even besides the amount of pedophiles, there was countless of hateful people which could potentially take someone’s life and when i was a child i had to encounter 1 too many people like this. and it actually DID take the life of a someone that my friend knew because of harassment and death threats from someone that caused that person to take their life.
