In my opinion, it’s absolutely criminal that this app permits users as young as 13 to sign up. There are numerous grooming scandals that have been enabled by this platform and Discord hasn’t budged. They still keep it at 13+ on their Terms of Service. There is no excuse for this. This is coming from a 24 year old without any kids. If you’re a parent with a child that’s under 18, absolutely do not let them use this. You are exposing them to thousands of degenerates and setting them up for grooming and exploitation. There’s no option to set it so that people of a specific age cannot message you. i had this app when i was younger along with musically and when tiktok was banned i redownloaded it. not too bad in terms of quality and very similar to tiktok but there are an unusual amount of suspicious accounts. i couldn’t go one scroll on the for you feed without finding odd content from older men😭. from my experience the app is entirely creeps, bots, and young children. an okay stand-in for tiktok but it definitely has it’s cons.

It’s ok, but there’s bugs

I’m a 14-year-old girl and I love to go live on this app because there’s a lot of super excepting people on it. It’s been helping me get over my social anxiety, but the one thing I really dislike is the fact that there’s pedos everywhere and the fact that I get suspended every time I go live it’s really annoying and I did absolutely nothing wrong. Banning system

I just wanted to notify that discord false banned me off the platform for an incident where someone in a server posted an inappropriate picture of a child and a naked man and I attempted to report him but I got banned after reply to the message he sent and so after that I created another account and like a week later it got banned and after that I started trying to make more accounts and every time I make another one I get banned again for “ban evasion” so I would appreciate it if I could get unbanned.

I’ve been on this app for years and would do mellow live streams at work just talking to people/ chilling and they randomly disabled my account with no warning and no given reason.
