Safety concerns about photos of kids

CW: vague mention of CSA I use Pinterest to save photos for creative and personal use, and I am satisfied with what the app provides. My concern is the safety of people in personal photos, particularly children, that are posted on Pinterest without their permission. I come across many selfies and other photos of teenagers typically posted by people who follow said teenagers' social media accounts, or sometimes even by adults and placed into inappropriate boards or tagged inappropriate things. As a minor, this makes me uncomfortable. Stronger moderation and the ability to report accounts would improve my feelings on Pinterest.

I love this app but i’m rating it one star in hopes this catches the attention of the developers. The amount of accounts popping up that are filled with sexual content, including some accounts that have boards of CHILDREN and the boards have the most horrible sexual titles ever, is horrifying and very concerning. I wish there was a way to report the whole account for sexual content/pedophilia/children in danger, etc… but when i try to it says pinterest ONLY removes accounts that post misleading content and spam or unsolicited commercial messages. I would really love for this app to be a safe space for all, but it seems impossible at this point. There are so many pictures of young girls and children on this app, and when you see the comments it’s full of these perverted accounts and there’s no way to be able to report the account as a whole, only the comment itself, and who knows if that actually does anything to ban the account. Please please please, give us a way to report these accounts for endangerment, explicit content, etc… and let us receive updates on our reports. Pinterest should be safe for everyone.

Am addicted to this app, but was better before

I love this app and I am honestly on it way to much😅However, I hate that they took away the tried section on pins. We can l No longer post picture or videos in the comments. In my opinion, that was one of the best features. I loved putting my art in there and getting advice and seeing others and giving advice. It’s also fun to see people try singing videos and such. I wasn’t allowed to post and a lot of people are the same way, so that’s a way to share that isn’t actually posting. I understand what issues can occur, such as bad or inappropriate photos, but you can’t really escape that. There’s a reason reporting comments is a thing. Another thing, the home feed is always refreshing without me wanting it to. I will see a pin that looks really interesting and go to tap it but it will refresh randomly without me even swiping down and I lose it forever. Very frustrating. Other than that, I love this app. Edit: each update brings more issues lol. Not the report/edit/delete button on comments is gone. And I keep finding profiles of pedophiles and I try to report but the only option is for spam. I report anyways but I would like more options for reporting profiles like on comments. Still want picture comments back

It’s perfect for pedophiles and people who age regress. It’s full of adult diapers, pacifiers, adult baby lifestyle, ddlg, and tons of ads. Plus all the images of children in swimsuits and sexual poses you could imagine. Pinterest needs to be investigated for what they allow 👀

i love pinterest so much!! it is literally my favorite app ever, i can find so many inspiring things! they include, quotes, feminism, diy, decor, recipes, home remedies, idols, and cute outfits.. but it is so, so hard to just look at some pictures for inspiration because in the comments, i see so many disgusting people saying disrespectful things. there are sooooo many older age men commenting and saying some gross things under a girls picture. i would like to just look at cute and inspirational outfits so that i can buy some clothes that look good for me.. but i see men harassing and saying inappropriate stuff. even if a girl is like 13, they comment things about how she is “sexy” it is very traumatizing for me and for so many people. i also see people trying to defend these girls by calling these creeps out but it’s no good. i think everyone would enjoy pinterest if there was no more comment section😌✨ i would appreciate you taking the time to read my review and take this seriously. also, please remove the nudity pictures, there are many boards that include them. thank you🙏🏼

Problems

1.i hate the new update 2.everytime I unfollow someone i re fresh and it follows the person again Side note: please fix immediately 3. Lots of creepy guys have been messaging underage girls disgusting stuff please suspend any account with inappropriate boards (like nudes breast pics etc.) 4.STORY PINS NEED TO BE WORLDWIDE what are you guys? Racist? 5.Please make major bug fixes it’s annoying 6.Please stop with the updates one update every year or every couple of months is enough I hope you reply and i hope you fix these problems. The app is helpful and I’m thankful, but please start cleaning up the underage pornography. I have also seen some boards that contain pictures of women unaware. I’m disturbed by these things. Also having to scroll through my followings posts one by one is tiresome and inconvenient. Thank you.
