So sad to discover that they are allowing explicit material (including child pornography) to be distributed through the app :( Please deal with this terrible issue, WhatsApp!

Stop allowing child pornography

I’m horrified that What’s App is looking the other way when users post illegal pornographic content of children being sexually exploited. What’s App needs to follow Tumblr and remove such content and block users who break the terms.

I used this App while overseas in the Middle East. It was a great point of contact. Unfortunately, it has become a conduit of adult and child pornography so I will not use it, nor encourage others to use it. My company and associates take efforts to use services that make this world a better place for all. WhatsApp, I advise and encourage you to clean up and curtail your services from the porn industry.

Please, please stop allowing child porn on this app! Put safe guards in place to protect children. So important- Children are not just our future - they are our present. We have a great responsibility to protect them. Please, do what needs to be done.

Today I learned that What’s App is allowing pornography and is not able to screen out child pornography! Parents beware. What’s App rid out pornography. It’s an awful epidemic for everyone because it destroys families.

I live far from family and friends and I love your app to stay in contact but I might have to switch if you do not immediately take a stand and make sure that you monitor all exploitive content on this platform , especially child pornography. This is inexcusable!

This app and any other app has no business showing or letting others indulge in child porn! Take it off now for the good of humanity. The showing and allowing others to distribute child porn helps in the sex trafficking racket that is so prevalent in our society. I demand that you take this off of your app immediately!

WhatsApp does not monitor appropriately for exploitive content making them a platform for promoting the pornographic exploitation of children. I hope Apple will do with WhatsApp and remove them from their App Store as they did with Tumblr for this exact reason. And I hope that WhatsApp will respond as Tumblr did by removing all exploitive content from their site.

WhatsApp has come under fire for allowing the unmonitored sharing of adult pornography, which has quickly spiraled into extreme forms of porn, including child pornography. WhatsApp has only 300 people employed to monitor 60 billion messages a day. They cannot and have not been effective in preventing the distribution of child pornography through their app. Until WhatsApp takes action, as Tumblr has, to remove all adult content, I will not be using or supporting the app. Child pornography is produced through the act of child abuse. I hope others will join me in insisting that WhatsApp do all it can to prevent the exploitation of children.

WhatsApp needs to follow the example of Tumblr and stop the sharing of all forms of exploitive content!! The sharing of adult pornography is currently allowed on WhatsApp and on other platforms that has been linked to he sharing of child pornography as well. There is no way that 300 employees can effectively monitor the 60 billion messages sent each day. I will not support a company that allows such content.

Pornography on this app is unacceptable to me

No matter the form of pornography it hurts the integrity of this app. Doctors used to sell Camels cigarettes before the research caught up and they discovered that cigarettes kill people. Now the research is catching up with porn and they are beginning to see that it is addictive, harmful to relationships and has a big correlation with erectile dysfunction. Children are able to view porn on this app. I highly recommend not using it until they recognize the hazard to children that this app presents, and take technical steps to make it much more out of reach of minors.

Exploitive content

Please stop the sharing of all exploitive content!

Something needs to be done about the child porn in the groups. I attempted to report it, and the process was pretty difficult.

I was asked to be on WhatsApp by my daughters soccer coach to keep up with game schedules and changes and I keep getting unwanted and very inappropriate messages, pictures(a naked child) and videos(dead people and a funeral) from all over the world. I have done all the privacy settings and blocking but they keep coming in. This is the only app with this problem ever. I deleted the app.
